Statement on the Passing of Bob Mackenzie
Former MPP served Hamilton East from 1975 to 1995

HAMILTON—The passing of former Hamilton East MPP Bob Mackenzie is a sad day for Ontarians, but particularly for those he served as their Member of Provincial Parliament.

Bob Mackenzie served Hamilton East in the 31st to the 35th Parliaments from 1975 to 1995 – a long and distinguished service. He was dedicated to the people of his riding and also to the people of Ontario, for whom he made working life better in his role as Minister of Labour from 1990 to 1994.

On behalf of our shared constituents I extend to Bob Mackenzie’s family our sincere condolences on his passing and, appropriately, our thanks for the years he devoted to serving our community and our province.
